Ultimate guide to indian Ringneck: Ultimate guide to caring and taming.

+About Parrot
Indian Ringneck parrots (also known as Ringed Parakeets) are highly intelligent, medium-sized birds with an unexpected talking ability and beautiful, shining green kgcolours.
They live in Africa and Asia.
Female Ringnecks are little silent , while males are quite noisy because females live in nests and incubate eggs and feed the babies. So, to keep them safe, they do not make much noise, while males are noisy because they distract predators.
They can live 25+ years in captivity.
The gender is most easily identified in these birds. If they have a ring around their neck, then they are male; if not, they are female.
There are various mutations of Ringnecks (but not natural breeders) that have developed, such as bright blue, yellow, white, and violet colours.
They are medium-sized parrots, growing to about 16 inches long.
If you are an owner of Ringnecks, remember that during their adolescence (4–12 months), they become quiet and aggressive and can be hard to handle.
Their flying style is totally different from other parrots. They are incredibly swift, agile, and graceful flyers. They are also fast and can fly at speeds of 50–70 km/h. They always live in high places and like to eat fruits and vegetables.

Alexandrine parrots:
The Alexandrine parrot is a very famous bird. It is also called the Alexandrine parakeet. It is one of the biggest parakeets in the whole world!
The Alexandrine parakeet and the Indian Ringneck parakeet are super similar because they belong to the exact same bird family. Many people actually mistake the Alexandrine for just a giant version of the Indian Ringneck!which is why they look so similar, but they have a few big differences.
Physical difference

(1) Appearance-There is only one main difference in appearance that is a red patch on its wing.

(2)Size-Ringneck  grows to a total length of about 38 to 42 cm while alexandrine parrot are bigger then ringneck they grows to a total length of about 56 to 62 cm.

Behavioral difference

(1)Ringnecks learn cool tricks really fast because they are smart. Alexandrines take more time to learn but they listen better.

(2)Ringnecks make sharp, annoying noises all day long. Alexandrines are usually quiet, but when they do scream, it is super loud.

(3)Alexandrines love destroying wooden toys completely. Ringnecks chew things too, but they don't wreck stuff as fast.

(4)Ringnecks bite to test you and show attitude. Alexandrines rarely bite, but their huge beaks can really hurt you if they do.

(5)Ringnecks go through a mean "bluffing" phase where they bite a lot. Alexandrines are way smoother as they grow up.

There are also several types of Indian parrot such as Plum-headed Parakeet, Blossom headed Parakeet , Malabar Parakeet (Blue-winged Parakeet), Red-breasted Parakeet,Slaty-headed Parakeet,Grey-headed Parakeet,Lord Derby’s Parakeet (Derbyan Parakeet),Long-tailed Parakeet,Nicobar Parakeet,Vernal Hanging Parrot.
According to the Indian Wildlife Protection Act, it is 100% illegal to catch, keep, or buy any native Indian parrot species as pets in India! They are fully protected by law to keep them safe in nature.

But the caring and taming process for all birds are almost same,so from now I will indicate all parrot at a atime as saying it Indian parrot.

+CARING TIPS FOR INDIAN PARROT:
An Indian Ringneck needs a spacious cage with shreddable toys, a healthy diet of pellets and fresh produce, and at least 2–3 hours of daily interaction outside the cage to stay happy and healthy.
Here is a step by step guide of caring it :-
Cage selection -The minimum cage size for Indian parrot are as follow.
1. Alexandrine Parakeet-This one is the biggest parrot in India and can grow up to 62 cm long! So its cage has to be really huge—at least 90 cm long, 90 cm broad, and 120 cm high—otherwise its gigantic tail will keep hitting the sides.
2. Lord Derby's Parakeet-This bird grows up to 50 cm and has a super powerful beak that can break weak stuff. It needs a cage of at least 90 cm long, 75 cm broad, and 120 cm high made of really thick metal wire.
3. Indian Ringneck-They are around 42 cm long, but honestly more than half of that is just tail feather. They need a cage that is at least 90 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 120 cm high so their tail stays nice and clean.
4. Nicobar Parakeet-This island bird grows up to 56 cm long and is super active. It needs a massive cage of at least 90 cm long, 90 cm broad, and 120 cm high so it can spread its wings completely.
5. Red-Breasted Parakeet-These guys are about 38 cm long and their tails aren't as crazy long as ringnecks. A cage size of 80 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 90 cm high works just fine for them.
6. Slaty-Headed Parakeet-They live up in the cold mountains and love flying around fast. Since they grow to 40 cm, they need a cage of at least 90 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 100 cm high for extra moving space.
7. Malabar Parakeet-These are around 38 cm long and super friendly and playful. You need a cage that is at least 90 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 100 cm high so there is room for all their perches and chew toys.
8. Long-Tailed Parakeet-As the name says, its tail is insanely long! It grows to 42 cm total, so it needs a cage of at least 90 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 120 cm high so its tail doesn't drag on the dirty bottom grid.
9.Plump headed Parakeet -This pretty small bird grows to 35 cm and is a bit delicate. It needs a cage of 75 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 90 cm high with small bar gaps so its little head can't poke through.
8.Long tailed parakeet-These are about 33 cm long and like to hop from stick to stick all day. A cage of at least 75 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 90 cm high gives them plenty of space to jump around.
11. Grey-Headed Parakeet-They reach around 40 cm in length and need a wider space to flap around. A cage that is 90 cm long, 60 cm broad, and 100 cm high is the minimum size for them.
12. Vernal Hanging Parrot-This cute tiny parrot is only 15 cm long and sleeps upside down like a bat! A cage of 60 cm long, 45 cm broad, and 60 cm high is big enough, but the bar gaps must be tiny so it doesn't escape.

Cage setup-A good cage setup make them feel better and safe and feel like nature. If you want a good cage setup follow these steps.
(1)No.of perches-There should be a wooden perch that connects one side to another.Other then this you should not insert more because they are big birds and they also need space to fly.
Toys- toys are very important for parrot's mental health. But always remember don't overcrowd with toys. You can add various types of toys
Swings
Wood Block Shredders
Yucca / Balsa Slices
Vine & Rattan Balls
Crinkle Paper Foraging Balls
Stainless Steel Bells
Acrylic Foraging Puzzles
Plastic Wiffle Balls
Mini Wooden Dumbbells
Natural Wood Swings
Sisal & Cotton Rope Ladders

Toxic food you should not give:
avocado, chocolate, tea, onion, garlic,Apple seed,Pear seed,Cherry pit,Peach pit,Plum pit,Apricot pit,Nectarine pit,Raw kidney bean,Raw lima bean,Raw navy bean,Raw peanut and fried snacks must strictly be kept away from parrots.

Other cares for Ring neck:-
There are various cares rather than diet and cage.
(1) Bathing- Many owner do this mistake they bath parrot in wrong and that causes fever and can also die. Here are two ways of bathing parrot safely.
Give them a bowl of water filled with 1-3 cm of water and bowl can be of 4 cm radius.
Use a adjustable hand spray and set it to mist mode and spray on them and only spray when they open their wing, come towards water or make happy voice. But if they run from water stopppp!

(2)Nail cutting-if their nails grow too long, it can cause a lot of problems for them. In the wild, birds naturally wear down their nails by flying around and perching on rough tree branches. But at home in a cage, their nails don't wear down as fast, so they keep growing longer and longer. Also, sitting on long, twisted nails puts weird pressure on their feet, which can lead to painful foot sores or infections like bumblefoot. So, trimming their nails regularly keeps our feathered friends safe, comfortable, and happy!

+How To Tame Them : ------
This is my baby ringneck that is tamed
Taming an Indian Ringneck requires patience, consistency, and building trust through positive reinforcement.Taming process for all parrot will be same but some can take more time or some will tame in less time.

First need a baby a baby parrot between 25-50 days older.

Now hand feed them normally for 5 days.Let them adjust in new environment.Place the cage where most action of your house is done.

After that don't feed normally give them instructions to come then feed when they come put hand in there path then Life and then feed . This will be the foundation of step up training and recall training.

When they start flying and come on hand feed now your real training start.Take there food in hand and then let them eat this will make trust. Then don't give food for 2 hour after take out of cage (fans off)
and give instruction to come and then feed . After doing this for 10-12 time take in hand lift with finger and feed. These training make a good friend of your. Don't only train give them love, talk to them and play with them.

Now hardest time of Indian parrot owner come , adolescence of parrot usually of 6-12 month. They become aggressive and a strong desire of freedom. So in this period give them chewing toys and feed with hand and don't let them out of cage for 60-90 minutes.Be carefull lock cage properly.
If your parrot survived in this period with you then you are lucky.

The Complete Macaw Care & Taming Guide:Diet, Aviary & Training

First we will know about Macaw if you don't want to know about it you can proceed forward.
Macaws are big, intelligent birds. They naturally live in southern Mexico down through Central America and deep into South America. They are cavity nesters, meaning they make their nest in a tree cavity because their vibrant color is visible to predators, so they don't make open nests.
They can live 50+ years in captivity. Macaws are known for their loud voice, so if you are thinking of buying a Macaw remember they can't be quiet. As the sun rises, they wake up and start finding food.
They are the largest parrots. Macaws can mimic human voices, and their beak can crush a nut like a nutcracker. They have a bone in their tongue. They can fly 15 miles a day. Macaws have zygodactyl feet—two toes facing forward and two facing back for gripping branches.
They have the intelligence of a 3-year-old child. They can learn over 100 human words. We can't identify their gender just by looking; we have to test their DNA. They are the most expensive parrots. There are 19 recognizable natural species of macaws.
Blue-and-yellow macaw
Blue-headed macaw
Blue-throated macaw
Blue-winged macaw
Chestnut-fronted macaw
Cuban macaw (extinct)
Glaucous macaw
Great green macaw
Hyacinth macaw
Lear's macaw
Martinique macaw (extinct)
Military macaw
Green-winged macaw
Red-bellied macaw
Red-fronted macaw
Red-shouldered macaw
Scarlet macaw
Spix's macaw (extinct in the wild)
Yellow-collared macaw
macaws live, travel, and feed in groups. These birds enjoy living together in pairs, family groups, or even huge flocks of more than 100 birds. A interesting feature of macaws is that mating couples always fly side-by-side, even when they are part of a giant flock. Staying in a large flock gives them safety in numbers, as it allows them to easily keep an eye out for predators while feeding.
A macaw has roughly 120 to 140  hollow bones (including 5 small bones in its prehensile tongue) and  between 2,000 and 3,000 feathers.
Macaws fly at speeds up  per 56 to 64 km/h. They usually fly low  just above or slightly below the top of the canopy rather than flying at high altitudes.
"HOW TO CARE A MACAW: (ADULT)"
Taking care of a macaw is a lifelong commitment since these amazing birds can live for over 50 years. They need a spacious, sturdy cage, a healthy diet packed with fresh foods and high-fat nuts, and plenty of mental stimulation. Most importantly, you'll need to set aside several hours every day for out-of-cage bonding and interaction to keep them happy. So Follow these steps to care macaw properly.
CAGE SELECTION:
Macaw are large birds they can't live in a cage they need an aviary of atleast 16 feet height, breadth and height.
Important note before making a aviary:
•The best metal to make aviary is Stainless steel non toxic and not also harmful.Metals you should not use for making aviary are galvanized steel, plastic and wood.galvanized steel and plastic is very harmful for birds and if you make it with wood they can chew and escape.

Bar spacing for aviary-For a Macaw, standard bar spacing should be 1 inch to 1.5 inches (2.5 cm to 3.8 cm).

Best Direction for aviary-You should know that very owner seperate totally with sunlight and some totally give them in presence of sunlight. But you should know   that the top of your aviary should be covered or you can cover when you want because direct cantact of noon hot sunlight can make macaw suffer from a heat stroke. But the morning sunlight is very beneficial for them so if you can do don't cover all four sides, just cover the top. But,if you are not able atleast one side should open from where the sun rises(east).
+AVIARY SETUP:
"Never use plastic in anything of aviary"
A good aviary setup make macaw feel happy and joyful. So, to make a good aviary you should follow this point.
(1)No. of perches-There should be only one long wooden perch that can connect one side to another.(Best wood for making perch are Manzanita,JavaWood,DragonWood,Apple,Pear,Arbutus,Ash.Harmful woods for them Cedar, Redwood, Cherry, Plum, Peach, Apricot, Oak, Yew, Walnut, Oleander.)Other then this you can add 2-3 small perches of same wood.Insert them at the height of 9 feet or more.
(2)Toys-Remember one thing don't overcrowd with toys.Always give them space to fly because I always say "The happiness they get from toys are less then the happiness of flying"They are adapted to fly God give them wings to fly not to play.Toys are a way to reduce stress and give happiness to a bird which is locked in a _cm to _cm cage.So these are some toys you can give:-
"Swings"-This is  a very important toys for birds because it give them feeling of moving branches. There should be 1-2 swing.Hieght for your swings depends on your macaw size. But if you have the largest macaw(Hyacinth macaw)swing should be fitted on 10 feet.Use only wood.
"Climbing tree"-In wild , macaws use both their beak and nails to climb trees, effectively using their beak as a "third hand".
So,for giving them this feeling by giving them climbing toys.As they can climb on aviary bar spacing but wood will give them better feeling. You can add a long climbing toy of wood and non toxic paint.
.......................climbing toys.....................
"Chewing toys"-chew toys are a total lifesaver for macaws because their beaks grow continuously just like human fingernails, meaning they need to constantly gnaw on hard stuff to naturally trim them down and avoid painful vet visits. You can give woods blocks or these types of toys.Other then this you can use these toys in a good way don't overcrowd:DIET FOR ADULT MACAW:
A proper diet is the absolute foundation of a macaw’s life, directly controlling their physical health, energy, and lifespan.

"""""""""""""""Other cares of a macaw"""""""""""
Bathing -To bath a macaw there are two ways.
(1)Use a handspray and set it to mist mode then spray it.If they are not enjoying it or running from water then stop.
(2)Use can give them a bowl with 2-3 cm bowl or plate. They will bath whenever they want. You can also buy bathing toys.

Nail Treaming-Trimming a macaw’s nails is tough because they have super strong beaks! Always ask a friend to help.
Wrap the bird: Hold your macaw in a thick towel so it stays calm and can't bite.
Grab a toe: Pull out one toe at a time.
Clip the tip: Cut off only the sharp, needle tip—don't cut too far!
Stop bleeding: If it bleeds, press styptic powder onto the nail.
Treat time: Give your bird a snack when you're done.
If your bird panics, stop and let a vet do it!

"""""""""""HOW TO TAME A MACAW """"""""""""
FOR Taming a macaw we need a hand feed baby of 4 to 6 months. After taking hand feed them love them etc.But not ordinary hand feeding.Take food in hand and then give instruction to come and when they come lift on finger and then feed it.
Recall training - To recall-train a flighted macaw directly without forcing a step-up, use their natural desire for high-value treats and a clear signal.
Find the "super treat": Pick a food they love above everything else (like a cashew or walnut) and use it only for recall training.
Start tiny distances: Put the macaw on a perch. Stand just one step away, extend your forearm flat, hold the treat visible in your other hand, and use a clear command (like "Come!").
Reward the instant they land: The second both feet land on your arm, give the treat and praise them enthusiastically.
Step up - Lift in hand give treat when they are hungry.Reapeat and repeat it.

Free fly-Free flying is when you let your macaw fly outside without a harness and it actually comes back to you. It looks awesome, but it's super risky and really hard to do!
Get perfect indoors first: Your bird needs to fly to your arm immediately every single time you call it inside the house, even when things are distracting.
Teach them how to steer: Parrots have to practice flying downwards and making sharp turns indoors so they don't get stuck in high places outside.
Get them used to the outdoors: Use a harness outside first so your bird doesn't freak out from wind, loud cars, or wide open skies.
Pick a wide-open spot: When starting outside, use a huge empty field away from tall trees, power lines, and hawk nests.
Warning: Don't try this by yourself! Always get help from an expert bird trainer, or your bird could easily get lost or hurt.

NOW TAME YOUR BIRD,CARE YOUR BIRD AND BE HAPPY.

Everything about budgies:How to care and tame

First we will know about budgies if you don't want to know you can go forward where I have told you about caring and taming budgies.
Budgies are small, cheerful, and joyful birds. They are the third most popular pet in the world. They can speak more than 50 words, but their vocal cords are very small, so we cannot understand them. Gender identification is much easier than in other birds: if their cere is blue or purple, they are male, but if their cere is brown or has a blue ring around the nostrils, they are female.
Their memory lasts for only 7 days, so if you are their owner and you do not meet them for 7 days, they can forget you. A single budgie can have 3,000 feathers. There are 13 colour of Budgies, but the original color is wild green; other colors were created by humans through genetic modification.
...............,, Natural Budgies,,...................
They can live for 5 years. The real home of budgies is Australia, and they live in big groups (flocks). If you are an owner of a budgie, they will see you as a big, featherless flock member. They can identify you by your voice. If you keep a budgie as a pet, give them a big cage to fly in and provide 10–12 hours of sleep, because if you do not fulfill their needs, they can become frustrated. Budgies can see more colors than humans can. Their size can extend to 15 to 18 cm, and their weight to 40 grams.
In the wild, budgies do not build nests. Instead, they use natural cavities like hollows in eucalyptus trees, rotting wood, log stumps, and natural holes in cliff faces and rocks.".,.............. BUDGIES NEST..............,.........
#HOW TO CARE A (Adult)BUDGIES:-
Caring a Budgies is not an easy task but with step by step guidence of wildtofamilypet you can absolutely care them with love.
:Cage Selection For Budgies. For a pair
BUDGIES can live happily if they love their cage and a good cage  can make them feel safe and happy.
Important points before buying a cage;
(1)Size-For a pair of budgies, the absolute minimum cage size is 500cm wide x 45 cm deep x 45 cm tall.
If your budget and room space allow, the ideal size for a pair is 70cm wide x 60cm deep x 50 cm tall to give them plenty of room to fly and avoid territorial arguments.
Bar Spacing: Keep it 1.2 cm or less so they cannot escape or get stuck.
cages you should never buy for budgies are round cages, tall and narrow "tower" cages, and small travel-sized cages masquerading as permanent homes.
Cage Setup:For a pair
Proper cage setups aren't just about giving a pet bird a pretty home—they are the difference between a thriving, happy budgie and a sick, stressed-out one. Because these tiny parrots are active, smart, and naturally prey animals, their daily environment completely dictates their quality of life.
:Perches-Always give them wood perches because plastic can be harmful to them, they can chew them while wood will make them feel safe and relax.
:No.of perches-There should be a main large perch that connects one side of cage to another. And after that you can give them extra two short perches.Don't give more than 2 short perches and one long perches.
Toys-Budgies are very cute, active, and smart small birds. In the wild, they fly around with their friends, look for food, and play all day. But when we keep them as pets in a cage, they can get very bored if they have nothing to do. That is why toys are super important for them!
Here are the main reasons why budgies need toys:
(1)Provides Daily Exercise: Swings, ladders, and climbing ropes keep their feet strong, burn energy, and keep them physically fit.
(2)Keeps Beaks Trimmed: Chewing on wood, cardboard, and natural fiber toys naturally wears down their constantly growing beaks.
(3)Prevents Stress and Plucking: Keeps their active minds busy so they don't get bored, depressed, or start tearing out their own feathers.
Best toys for Budgies:
Shredding Toys (Kabobs, sola wood, balsa blocks, crinkle paper)
Foraging Toys (Wicker balls, puzzle boxes, treat-dispensing rolls)
Climbing Toys (Wooden ladders, sisal rope bridges, seagrass mats)
Physical Exercise Toys (Natural wood swings, plastic practice rings, ping pong balls)
Noise & Sensory Toys (Stainless steel bells, plastic chain links, wooden beads)
Important Notes
Keep changing the position of perches and toys every 15 days,so they don't get used to it and feel sad.
Don't overcrowd with toys give space to fly.
Use toys and perches of only wood not plastic.
A Healthy diet for A Adult BUDGIES:
BUDGIES need Protein,Calcium,Vitamin AVitamin D3,Healthy Fats,Essential Minerals (Iodine, Phosphorus, Zinc).
So all this can't be fulfilled with one food. They need a complete diet to be healthy, and here a complete diet plan for both summer and winter season.
#SUMMER:
Monday-Give 24 hour sprouted moong, wheat and also mix some sprouted chickpea to them.
Tuesday-Give them a mix of chopped vegetable. These are some vegetables.
kale, spinach, broccoli, carrots, sweet potato, bell peppers, zucchini, peas, cauliflower, cucumber, radishes, green beans, sweetcorn, and leafy greens like romaine lettuce or mustard greens.
Choose any four from above list, chop and serve to Budgies.
Wednesday-You can give them seeds and millet.Harmful seeds and millets for them-Raw peanuts,Raw kidney beans,Raw navy beans,Raw lima beans,Raw soyabeans,Apple seeds,Pear seeds
Cherry pits,Peach pits,Plum pits,Apricot pits,Nectarine pits,Avocado pit.Good and healthy seeds for them-Chia seeds
Hemp seeds,Quinoa seeds,Sesame seeds,Milk thistle seeds,Flaxseeds (in moderation),Sunflower seeds (in small amounts as treats).
Thursday-Give them sprouted pulses such as Moong dal (Mung bean),Masoor dal (Red/Green lentil),Chana dal (Bengal gram / Chickpea),Toor dal (Pigeon pea),Urad dal (Black gram),Matar dal (Green/Yellow pea)
Rajma (Kidney bean) — must be thoroughly boiled, never raw.
Friday-Give fruit such as Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Cucumber, Strawberries, Blueberries, Papaya, Mango.Harmful Fruit for them-Avocado, Rhubarb, Lemon, Lime, Grapefruit, and the seeds or pits of Apples, Cherries, Peaches, Plums, Apricots, and Pears.
Saturday-Give them sprouted sweet corns, chickpea or boiled rice after getting cold.
Sunday-Give them egg shells, tulsi leaves spinach etc or you can make a meal in which first mash the boiled egg with bread(without oil or butter) add egg shells and some pieces of spinach and Tulsi.
 #WINTER:
Monday
Offer washed spinach (palak) or mustard leaves (sarson) alongside their daily seeds for essential vitamins.
Tuesday
Serve warm, boiled yellow lentils (moong dal) or chickpea sprouts to give them a winter protein boost.
Wednesday
Provide finely grated carrots, broccoli florets, or red bell peppers to support their immune system.
Thursday
Add sprouted mung beans or sprouted fenugreek (methi) seeds for easy digestion and vital enzymes.
Friday
Offer a little hard-boiled egg with crushed shell for protein and healthy fats to maintain feather insulation.
Saturday
Give fresh coriander (dhaniya) mixed with chopped bathua or radish greens to aid digestion.
Sunday
Treat them to small apple slices, pomegranate arils, or a piece of millet spray.Remove all fresh or soft foods within a few hours to prevent spoilage.
Other cares of budgies:
Bathing-Many owner do this mistake, they directly spray water on them or use human shampoo to bath them and their Budgies die.The correct way of bathing are
(1)Give them a bowl of water filled with 1-3 cm of water and bowl can be of 4 cm radius.
(2)Use a adjustable hand spray and set it to mist mode and spray on them and only spray when they open their wing, come towards water or make happy voice. But if they run from water stopppp!
Nail Cutting-if their nails grow too long, it can cause a lot of problems for them.
+How to treme it nail
Trimming a budgie’s nails can feel scary, but it's simple if you go slow!
First, get nail clippers and cornstarch. If a nail bleeds by accident, pressing cornstarch on the tip stops it fast.
Next, wrap your budgie gently in a soft towel without squeezing their chest. Hold one foot under a bright light and find the "quick"—the tiny pink blood vessel inside the nail that you must never cut.
Only clip off the tiny, sharp tip of the curved nail. Cut off a tiny bit at a time to stay safe.
Finally, give your bird a millet treat so they forget about the drama! If you feel nervous, you can always ask a vet for help.

Free fly training mainly needs three core things to work:
100% Trust: The bird must view your hand as the safest place in the room, not a threat.
Diet Control: You must use high-value treats (like millet) that they only get during training, so they are motivated to fly to you.
A Safe Environment: A completely closed room with no ceiling fans on, covered windows, and no other pets.

Important Warning: Never try this outside! Budgies are very small. If there is a strong wind, they will get blown away. Also, big birds like crows or eagles can attack them. "Free flight" for a budgie means flying safely inside a closed room.
